Our Journey: From Vision to Sri Vismaya Institutions
Charting two decades of dedication to inspired learning.
Sri Vismaya Institutions is the product of two decades of steady growth—and an unwavering belief that every child deserves an education that sparks wonder. Below is the story of how a single classroom dream evolved into a family of schools and a PU college serving South Bangalore.
2004 | The First Step S. K. E. R. D. Trust
Sri Ajjappa B establishes Sri Karibasaveshwara Rural and Educational Trust (S.K.E.R.D. Trust) and opens S.K. Public School in Electronic City. What begins as a modest K–10 school quickly becomes a lifeline for families drawn to the area’s booming tech corridor. The founding promise is simple yet powerful: knowledge with character.
2012 | Answering a Growing Need
Enrollment surges, and a second campus—S.K. Public School, Bommasandra—opens its doors. With modern science labs, a larger playground, and reliable transport routes, the new campus brings quality education to an even wider community.
2016 | A Leap Into Inquiry‑Driven Learning
Sensing a rising demand for rigorous, curiosity‑led education, the Trust launches Sri Vismaya Academy, an ICSE‑affiliated school. The name “Vismaya,” meaning wonder, captures the academy’s learner‑centric philosophy: every lesson should ignite curiosity and creativity.
2012 | Answering a Growing Need
In the same year, the organization establishes Sri Vismaya PU College. Located adjacent to the Sri Vismaya Academy, the college offers Science and Commerce streams, integrates competitive‑exam coaching, and provides life‑skills programs—ensuring students enjoy a smooth transition from school to pre‑university studies.
2024 and Beyond | United Under One Banner
